The Grant County Band is located between Lexington and Cincinnati along interstate 75. The Grant County Band is under the direction of Andrew McGrannahan and Nichelle Wolfe. During his tenure the band program at Grant County the marching arts program has expanded its enrollment while maintaining a high degree of competitiveness and artistry.
The Grant County Band program offers band and percussion classes for all 6-12 grade level students and has several award winning extra-curricular ensembles. Most notably is the Grant County Marching Band, which continues its long excellence of being a State Finalist and State Champion: 1995, 1998, and 2015.
The program also has several other award winning and outstanding recognized ensembles. The Grant County Winter guard is a back to back Tri-State Scholastic A-2 champion (2014 and 2015) and recently the 2017 Tri-State Scholastic A Champion. The Grant County Jazz Band was recognized as one of the premier ensembles in the commonwealth when it was selected to perform at the 2016 KMEA Music Conference in Louisville, KY. The entire program as a whole boasts over 350 students.
