The GCCG is a group of bright-young students from both the Grant Co. middle school and high school. The GCCG is an extension of the Grant County marching band, and also competes as an ensemble during the winter season. Grant County winter guard currently has a junior varsity and varsity program that compete at a local and national level.
Grant County varsity has been an active member of Tristate Marching Arts since 2010. After starting out in scholastic A-3, they advanced to scholastic A-2, and are currently competing in the scholastic A class. Grant County varsity has been their class champions in 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2017. They placed third overall in 2018. Varsity also had the chance this year (2019) to compete at a national level within the WGI circuit.
In 2019, the GCCG decided to take a leap and make a junior varsity guard so that more students would have a chance to be a part of an incredible organization. The Grant County junior varsity joined TMA this year and are currently registered in the scholastic regional A-2 class.
